Advanced Alignment Fundamentals

We are excited to announce a new offering for Fall 2025: the Advanced Alignment Fundamentals program, designed for students who want to deepen their technical expertise in AI safety by building a strong foundation in machine learning, enhancing hands-on coding skills, and developing the capacity to engage in alignment research.

The curriculum will be based on and adapted from the ARENA Curriculum (Alignment Research Engineer Accelerator), and will guide participants through a structured sequence of technical exercises, projects, and research-oriented challenges.

For those new to AI safety and alignment, we recommend starting with our Introductory Alignment Fellowship to build a conceptual foundation before joining this program. Fellows who complete the Fellowship and wish to pursue a more research-focused path are especially encouraged to continue with the Advanced Alignment Fundamentals Program.
