About AISA

AI Safety & Alignment at Boston University is a student community on campus dedicated to mitigating risks from advanced AI and contributing towards the flourishing of humanity by accelerating talented students into AI safety careers.

We think that machine intelligence will have effects ranging from revolutionizing how our societies operate to enabling technological advancement our ancestors only could have dreamed of. At the same time, the companies at the forefront devote little attention to the safety of the systems they’re rapidly developing—systems that we are only beginning to understand. International tensions between the world’s superpowers will only serve to speed up this arms race.
